Alternatives to the toxic beauty ingredients/practices of the Victorian Era

I talked about in my previous blog post, about the beauty practices and it's often toxic ingredients used I want to highlight in this post the modern and much safer alternatives to those ingredients used today to give you that beautiful pallor that the Victorians were known for with one small exception phenol(carbolic acid) it is still used today, but by licensed professionals due to safety reasons.
